5. Product Highlights and Selling Points
The fire resistance mechanism of medium voltage fire-resistant cable is not different from that of low-voltage cable, the conductor is wrapped with mica tape and cannot ensure the integrity of the circuit, and there is no insulation protection at high voltage, and the circuit will be short-circuited.
In order to protect the electrical performance of the insulation, a comprehensive fireproof layer is used to isolate the fire source and block the flame heat from entering the insulation, so as to play a fire-resistant role. The fireproof layer is a ceramicized silicone rubber material that hardens and crusts under the high temperature of the flame, and its price cost is very expensive, resulting in a very high price of medium-voltage fire-resistant cables.
Aluminum alloy cable has creep resistance and elongation equivalent to copper conductor, which can replace copper cable, and is safe, stable and reliable. The price of aluminum alloy is much lower than that of copper, which can reduce the price of medium-voltage refractory cables and reduce procurement costs.
